The Evil Olive is
a striking, rare heirloom tomato variety (Solanum lycopersicum) known for its distinctive appearance and firm, unique texture.
Key Characteristics
Appearance: Plum- or oval-shaped, resembling large olives (1.5 to 2 inches). The skin starts dark olive green with purple-black or brownish hues, developing warm orange or red blushing streaks as it ripens.
Texture: Firm, crisp, and crunchy with a thick skin, maintaining structure rather than becoming mushy or overly juicy.
Flavor Profile: Varies by description from tangy, sweet, or smoky to mildly balanced, though some growers note it has a unique earthy or subtle olive-like tone.
