The Harsh Melon of the Volga Germans (also known as the Severe Melon of the Volga Germans or Suvoraya Dynya Nemtsev Povolzhya) is a rare heirloom tomato variety preserved by descendants of German settlers who lived in the Volga River region of Russia
Fruit Appearance: Large, slightly flattened, gently ribbed, or heart-shaped fruits with a glowing ochre-orange, caramel, or amber-brown color.
Size & Weight: Typically ranges from 200 to 450 grams (about 7 to 16+ oz), with larger specimens possible
Flavor & Texture: Dense, meaty, oily, and soft-to-buttery flesh. The flavor is rich, sweet, and complex with distinct fruity-spicy notes rather than a standard acidic tomato taste
