(Solanum melongena). A wonderful eggplant from Ping Tung, Taiwan. Fruit is purple and up to 14 inches long and 2 inches in diameter. This variety is so sweet and tender, superbly delicious! One of the best Chinese-type eggplants on the market.

Growing Tips: Ping Tung eggplant thrives in warm, sunny climates. It performs best in well-draining, fertile soil with a pH between 6.0 and 7.0. Water consistently and feed regularly throughout the growing season. Mulching around the plants helps to retain moisture, regulate soil temperature, and suppress weeds.
