Swisher Sweet is a classic heirloom tomato variety, valued for its large crimson fruits, rich flavour, and strong growing performance. It produces impressive tomatoes, typically around 350–600 g, with a slightly flattened shape and full shoulders that give it that traditional heirloom look.
The flesh is meaty, juicy, and well-balanced in flavour, making it a great choice for fresh eating as well as simple home cooking. This is a variety that feels generous and satisfying to grow, with plants producing reliable harvests through the season.
With its long growing history and consistent performance, Swisher Sweet is a rewarding option for gardeners who appreciate traditional varieties with real character and flavour.
